VISIONEER AWARDS KOFAX“ISV PARTNER OF THE YEAR”

Pleasanton, Calif., January 30, 2006 – Visioneer, Inc., a leader in intelligent imaging solutions, today announced that Kofax was named its “ISV Partner of the Year” for 2005.  Kofax is the world’s largest information capture vendor.  The award was presented to Richard Anderson, OEM sales manager at Kofax during a celebration at Visioneer’s inaugural customer event, PartnerVision 2006 from January 25-27 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Kofax was recognized for its VirtualReScan (VRS) technology, the de facto industry standard for image processing.  VRS improves both image quality and OCR (optical character recognition) accuracy, delivering unmatched image quality and eliminating the need to rescan document images because of its automatic check for and adjustment of alignment (skew), brightness, contrast or image-clarity inconsistencies.  When combined with Visioneer’s full line of document imaging hardware solutions, VRS provides customers a complete solution that enhances scanning, improves workflow and reduces the costs associated with capture.
