Registered users will be able to order their free upgrade to VRS 4.0 through theVisioneer website or they may purchase an upgrade to 4.0 Plus with added features at a discount of $300 for only $295.
“Already the de facto industry standard for image processing, Kofax VRS 4.0 raises the bar with automation of document prep and offers the ability to add color processing capabilities,” said Don F. McMahan, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Visioneer. “VRS 4.0 significantly speeds document preparation, which otherwise could take twice as much time as the scanning process itself. Prior versions of VRS enabled users to avoid sorting documents by quality or size. Now, VRS 4.0 users can access features that eliminate additional time-consuming manual tasks, such as sorting documents to face in the same direction, or inserting separator sheets to differentiate black-and-white and color documents.”
“The demand for capturing color for mobile professionals is steadily growing, especially in industries such as insurance, finance, real estate, human resources and law enforcement, where records frequently include color forms, photos and drivers licenses,” said Doug Rudolph, vice president of business development at Kofax. “VRS 4.0 Plus, when bundled with Visioneer’s award-winning Strobe XP 200, enables businesses to take advantage of the color capabilities on their Visioneer scanners and extends the viable use of color in a business process.”
