VISIONEER ANNOUNCES TRADEMARK LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH XEROX
Visioneer to Develop and Market Xerox-Branded Scanners and Digital Projectors
PLEASANTON, CALIF. - August 26, 2003 - Visioneer, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a trademark licensing agreement with Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) for Visioneer to develop, market and support a new line of Xerox-branded document scanners and digital projectors on an exclusive basis.
"By integrating the power of the Xerox brand with Visioneer's technology, we expect to further strengthen our position in the marketplace," said Murray L. Dennis, Visioneer's president and chief executive officer, noting that the Xerox-branded products will be distributed through Visioneer's extensive sales channels in North America, Latin America and Europe.
"Both companies' commitment to quality is recognized in the licensing agreement with provisions to maintain the highest standards throughout the product lifecycle," he added.

The licensing agreement between Visioneer and Xerox is for a term of 3.5 years with an option for an additional 3-year extension.
