Company To Demonstrate How To Scan-To-SharePoint with Visioneer OneTouch Technology In Booth #305

PLEASANTON, Ca. - February 28, 2008 - Visioneer, Inc., a leader in intelligent imaging solutions and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, today announced that they will participate as an exhibitor at the Microsoft Office SharePoint Conference at the Washington State Trade and Convention Center in Seattle, WA, March 3-6, 2008 in Booth #305. Visioneer will be demonstrating award-winning scanners that Scan-to-SharePoint with the touch of one button. Senior executives will also be available to discuss Visioneer OneTouch 5, the next generation of the industry’s leading and most innovative scanning architecture that will completely alter the IT manager and the business user’s perception and expectations of the SCAN button for desktop and enterprise imaging workflows.  Visioneer Vice President of Business Development, John Dexter will present on Monday, March 3rd at 1:00 pm in room: 616-617 during the Enterprise Content Management and Search breakout session.

Electronic content is most often "born digital" (documents from Word, Excel, PDF, etc.). These files are easily moved into the SharePoint work space. Paper, however, needs to first be scanned to a digital format, and most MFPs and document scanners require multiple steps to configure, scan, store, and then move the document into the SharePoint workspace. During John Dexter’s presentation “Visioneer OneTouch Scanning Link to SPS 2003 and MOSS 2007,” attendees will learn how Visioneer OneTouch, a solution specializing in ease of use and reducing steps in the scanning process and the creation of a OneTouch Link for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, scanning to any SharePoint folder is as easy as the touch of a button.  In fact, with Visioneer OneTouch, it is now easier to scan a paper document into SharePoint than it is to move an electronic file there.
