The company's first product shipped in 1994. Since then, Visioneer scanners have gained widespread industry acceptance and numerous endorsements worldwide, including Retail Vision Best Hardware, PC Computing A List and PC Magazine Editors Choice.

Visioneer has made a strong commitment to providing leading edge technology, a robust software bundle while having an excellent value proposition. In 2003, Visioneer combined its leading scanner technology with Xerox' brand recognition to develop the Xerox DocuMate series of workgroup scanners. Visioneer and Xerox branded products provide a family of hardware solutions for the distributed and desktop scanner markets as well as the mobile and remote business scanning and storage segments.
