In 1994, Visioneer broke new ground and quickly became the leader in consumer imaging hardware products with the introduction of the first easy to use sheetfed scanner. Visioneer's award-winning Strobe is still the #1 best-selling color sheetfed scanner on the market. Visioneer then pioneered the multiple button scanner market with the introduction of the original OneTouch scanner in April 1998. Visioneer has persistently been dedicated to the innovation and development of scanners that intelligently complete tasks from start-to-finish in one easy step. Another recent success was in creating a new category of affordable and easy-to-use productivity scanning solutions for the corporate and legal markets. Our new product line improves office efficiency, increases client satisfaction and converts time lost from paper shuffling into billable hours.

Visioneer has made a strong commitment to providing leading edge technology, a robust software bundle while having an excellent value proposition.  In 2003, Visioneer combined its leading scanner technology with Xerox' brand recognition to develop the Xerox DocuMate series of workgroup scanners. Visioneer and Xerox branded products provide a family of hardware solutions for the distributed and desktop scanner markets as well as the mobile and remote business scanning and storage segments.  Visioneer has a solution for everyone, from the home and small office user to corporate and department workgroups, allowing them to be more creative, communicate more effectively, and increase productivity.  Our award-winning products have set the standard in quality and user friendliness.

Ready for Windows XP - 2002 On the day that Microsoft Windows XP shipped, Visioneer had 12 scanners that earned the Designed for Windows XP Logo.

New Class of Business ADF Scanners - 2001 Visioneer introduced the 9650 USB, the fastest ADF flatbed scanner available for under $1000 and started a revolution in workgroup scanning capability and affordability.

First PhotoPort Scanner - 2000 Visioneer unveiled the PhotoPort 7700 USB, the first scanner to feature built-in digital camera memory card readers incorporating Visioneer’s award-winning OneTouch scanning technology.

Innovator of OneTouch Technology - 1998 Visioneer invented the first multi-button scanner with the introduction of the original OneTouch that intelligently completed scanning tasks from start-to-finish in one easy step.

Received U.S. Patent 5,499,108 for Document-Driven Scannering Device (Auto -launch) - March 12, 1996

Developed industry’s first keyboard scanner - January 29, 1996

New Class of Compact Business Scanners - 1995 Visioneer integrated its scanner OS technology with a compact sheetfed scanner which included a robust document storage and management application.

Began distribution in Asia - November 1995

First Scanner Operating System - November 1995 Visioneer developed the world’s first scanner Operating System, which was an integrated hardware/software scanning solution. This technology was OEM’d to Canon, Compaq, Brother and Hewlett Packard.

Announced next generation of paper input systems - October 9, 1995 Visioneer announced the next generation of paper input systems, PaperPort Vx for Windows and PaperPort Vx for Macintosh.

Received Industrial Design of Excellence Award (IDEA) - June 1995 Visioneer won the coveted Industrial Design of Excellence Award (IDEA) from Business Week magazine for PaperMax.

Began distribution in Europe - March 1995

First Product Shipped - January 1994 The company’s first product shipped in 1994 with the PaperMax products.
